Today is Gatsby’s birthday. He’s 12 years old! He doesn’t look a day over eight. (I don’t think that he’s had any work done but who knows?). Here’s pic of him today and a pic of him from when he was a couple of months old.
So after Yoshi passed away my wife and I decided that we wouldn’t get a new cat for a few weeks or even months. We needed time to recover. So in true Smith family style, three days later we went to the local animal shelter and adopted two kittens! After all, it was National Cat Day!

Today for Black Cat Appreciation Day 2016 Yoshi would like you to all take a moment to appreciate him and all that he does.
Also black cats are not bad luck but are incredibly cool!
Over the weekend we celebrated Yoshi’s fifteenth birthday. That may be kinda old for a cat but he looks good and he feels good so we’re looking forward to many more birthdays to come!
