A whodunnit series starring two cat detectives.
PETECTIVES (Series) – Ever wonder what your cats are doing when you’re not around? Most likely they’re just sleeping but housecats Yoshi and Gatsby also manage to solve a few crimes in between naps. To combat the boredom of being pets, these two conduct private investigations for their fellow animals. Gatsby’s a smart-mouthed orange, stripey cat who loves going outdoors, talking to witnesses, investigating leads and putting his neck on the line in the pursuit of justice. Yoshi’s a witty and wise black cat who won’t step a paw outside of his house but who can process the information that Gatsby brings him into solutions for even the trickiest mysteries. From shutting down dogfighting operations to stopping attempted peticide, these guys handle it all and do it with humor and style. If you’re a housepet and you have a problem, call the Petectives!
PECTECTIVES
It’s almost Halloween and freewheeling feline private eye Gatsby and his cerebral mentor Yoshi have decided to help a pretty young cat find her missing brother. What starts as a routine missing pet investigation soon pits them against both a gang of vicious criminal pit bulls as well as the neighborhood dog police, who are looking into rumors of dogfights. While Gatsby’s up to his whiskers in danger and romance, Yoshi’s putting together the pieces of a puzzle that could rock their community. Can the boys find a missing cat and shut down a dogfighting operation while staying two steps ahead of the local dog police? It’s all in a night’s work for the Petectives!

I saw your post over on Kboards.com and I’m so happy I did! What a cool idea! I also have a cat book that I’m promoting, but it’s quite different from yours – it’s a humorous self-help guide for cats on how to deal with humans. I wonder if you might be interested in taking a look at it? http://xcpublishing.net/the-cats-guide-to-human-behavior/
I would love to team up with some other cat authors to work on promos – maybe a combo pack or whatever they call selling a bunch of books together for one low price? Or even just to chat.
Hope to hear from you!
Hi Xina:
I checked out your book and it looks hilarious. I hope that it does well. I don’t know anything about combo packs but the logistics seem pretty challenging.
Gook luck!
Hi,
I read all four Petectives books a few months ago and really enjoyed them. Are you going to write anymore?
Thanks,

Hi! Thanks for the kind words. There will be another Petectives book coming out later this year. I’ll be sure to let you know when its released.
Did the new Petectives book come out and I somehow missed it or was there a change of plans?
Thanks! I’ll look forward to it!
Hi,
Whatever happened with the new Petectives books that you said was coming out in late 2017? Did you change your mind or did I somehow miss it?
Hi – I had written on a new story, but I wasn’t happy with how it turned out so I’m rewriting it and its not going as quickly as I had hoped. Hopefully the next Petectives book will be out in 2019. Thank you so much for your interest – I really appreciate it!
Thank you for getting back to me! I will keep my eye out for the next book, and when it is coming I will probably re-read the others since it has been a while. Have a great Christmas!
